Why I love Architecture?

I have a deep love for all forms of art, from fine arts to performing arts, from design to painting, from fashion to cinematography. However, my true passion lies in architecture. To me, architecture is the most complete form of art, seamlessly blending beauty with functionality, resilience, and an enhanced quality of life. It embodies the soul of a place, shaping our experiences and influencing our daily lives. Whether we realize it or not, the architecture of our cities leaves a lasting impact on us. Join me as we explore the incredible world of architecture and discover how it truly is the art that has it all!

My story

Deciding to become an architect wasn’t really much of a “decision”. I’ve always known I would become an architect. Ever since I was a child, I had two dreams: to be an architect and an actress. Even though, I am still very passionate about films and teather, my priority remains the first one: architecture. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been interested in arts and crafts, as a child, I used to spend my time drawing, painting, sculpting, doing origami, crochet, or creating jewellery and so on. Time passed by, I had my ups and downs when it comes to really “choosing a career“, as I studied at a high school focused on computer science, many of my friends and colleagues chose a career in the IT industry. I had the feeling that maybe architecture is not the right way for me and I should do what everybody else is doing. Luckily, I realized quickly enough that I cannot abandon what I truly want. Even after taking a final decision, and writing down in my journal that “one day, I will be an architect“, my journey still took many unexpected turns. While studying architecture, I felt overwhelmed, for many reasons, both personal and professional. I decided to take a gap year.  Of course, I also discovered other talents and passions that I have, like photography, fashion or cinematography, and maybe, if I were a vampire and death was a joke, I would love to spent my time doing each and every of these things. But how am I aver going to find the time to read all the books I want to read, watch all the films that I want to watch, design all the buildings I want to design and sew all the dresses I want to sew? Well, until I find an answer to that question, I choose to focus most of my attention on the greatest art of them all: architecture!
